About Me

Hello, i’m nichola pierpoint, but most people know me as nikhee. i’ve been tattooing since 2013. i did my apprenticeship at jay’s inks lincoln uk, where i still work today.

I specialise in fine-line blackwork and dotwork, bold yet delicate, with a love for intricate patterns, nature-inspired pieces such as flowers and animals, and pop culture pieces, including disney and other fandoms.Art has always been a huge part of who i am, and i love creating pieces that people choose to carry with them through life.I work one-to-one in a private, appointment-only space, so you’re my sole focus throughout your session. my goal is to make it as comfortable and reassuring as possible, while creating something personal and lasting.

Outside of tattooing, i also create personal paintings using posca pens. my personal artwork is quite different from my tattooing style, giving me a separate creative outlet and helping me find a little balance between work and my own art time.

Can you copy another tattoo, artwork or AI design?

No, all my designs are custom-drawn for each customer. You're welcome to send other people's work as inspiration, but I won't directly replicate it.

Do you offer cover-ups or reworks?

Sometimes. I'm selective about the cover-ups and reworks I take on, as they need to be something I can work with in my style. I'll need to assess the existing tattoo before confirming.

Do you offer touch-ups?

Yes, touch-ups on my own work are free within the first four months. After this, a small charge may apply.

Before Your Appointment

How should I prepare for my tattoo?

In the lead-up to your appointment, keep the area well moisturised, but avoid applying products to broken or irritated skin. The night before, try to get a good night's sleep and avoid alcohol. On the day, make sure you've eaten and are well hydrated. Avoid strenuous exercise involving the area being tattooed immediately before your appointment.

What should I wear or bring?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo area. Bear in mind that ink and stencil carbon can stain clothing.

Can I get tattooed while pregnant or breastfeeding?

I don't tattoo anyone who is pregnant. If you're breastfeeding, my studio policy is to wait until your baby is at least six months old. If your baby has any health concerns, I'd prefer to wait until you've finished breastfeeding.

How old do I need to be?

You must be at least 18 years old. Parental permission doesn't change this.

Healing and Aftercare

How long does a tattoo take to heal?

Initial healing generally takes around 2–4 weeks, although some tattoos may take longer. Deeper healing can continue for several months. Healing varies depending on factors such as age, health, tattoo size, placement and activity levels.

Is peeling or itching normal?

Yes, peeling, itching and some light scabbing are all normal parts of healing. Your tattoo may peel similarly to sunburn. Don't pick, peel or scratch the area, as this can damage the healing skin and affect the ink. Itching is very normal (and very annoying), but resist the temptation to scratch.

Can I swim or sunbathe afterwards?

Not until your tattoo has fully healed. Avoid swimming, soaking and direct sun exposure during healing, as these can interfere with the healing process.

Will my tattoo fade over time?

Yes, tattoos naturally change and fade over time as the ink ages within the skin. Good aftercare, regular moisturising and sun protection can help maintain their appearance. The design itself also plays a big part. Just because something can be tattooed doesn't necessarily mean it should be, particularly when considering how it will age.
